How to verify your account
So that we can comply with regulatory requirements it is necessary for us to verify all users' personal details following their first deposit to a Smarkets account.
Your account needs to be verified in order for you to be able to issue withdrawals.
Most UK users will be verified electronically, meaning you will not need to do anything.
If you don’t pass the electronic verification you will be required to send in documentation.
You will be sent an email requesting documents to verify your age and address. This article explains what documents we accept.
You can upload your documents on our file upload page or send them to firstname.lastname@example.org.
Review of documents can take up to 24 hours to complete. As soon as the review is complete we will contact you with confirmation, or a request for further documentation.
Note: If we have not been able to age verify you within 72 hours of your first deposit your account will be suspended until proof of age is received. Already placed bets will be settled as normal.
