When users upload personal documents to verify their account with Smarkets we ensure the strictest security measures are taken:

• The preferred way for users to submit documents is via the document uploader.
• All communication with Smarkets goes through encrypted in transit and at rest which means that it’s encrypted and cannot be decrypted by anyone.
• Access to these documents is controlled via authentication password and restricted to Smarkets employees who work directly with the product.
• Smarkets employees can only access the documents via the admin interface.
• Access rights to the document section of admin is only granted to users who have a business reason to have access, i.e. customer support operatives who need to verify that your documents are correct.
