Asking about how you fund your account
Why do you need to know how I fund my account?
As part of our AML and social responsibilities, we may be required to confirm how you fund your deposits with us.
To begin with we may ask you to confirm your current occupation and income or if you are not currently working, your main source of income. Please note that we will NEVER contact your employer as part of this process.
To verify the above information, it may be necessary for us to request a small amount of documentation. Examples of what we may ask for include:
- Payslip
- P60 or Employment Summary Detail
- Self Assessment Tax Return (SA302)
- Proof of savings or investment balance
- Bank statement containing inflow of income payments
Do I have to provide this information?
Not all customers will be required to go through this process but if we do require further information from you we will contact you directly via email.
You are not obligated to provide the requested information but if we are unable to complete the verification process within a reasonable timeframe we are required to restrict or suspend your account.
If you provide the requested information/documents at a later date, we will be more than happy to review your account again.
